That is what makes overload protection straightforward to realise: if the material resists, the machine can be held or reversed rather than driven through. PLC control gives reliable, repeatable performance cycle after cycle.
Cutting modes
Single and continuous cutting can be selected as required. Single cutting suits one off pieces and awkward sections where the operator positions each cut. Continuous cutting suits repetitive production work on long material, where the machine cycles automatically as material is fed. Having both on one machine means the same asset covers occasional heavy work and steady production runs.

Choosing between shear types
A tiger head shear and an alligator shear both do cold profile cutting, and the right answer depends on your material rather than on a general ranking. Larger cross sections and higher continuous duty point towards a tiger head shear. Smaller volumes, tighter budgets and a need to move the machine point towards an alligator shear. Where the incoming material is heavy melting scrap rather than profiles, a straight bed or gantry shear is the correct machine instead of either.

We size the machine against your largest cross section, your typical material mix, the charge length your furnace or buyer requires, and how many hours a day the machine will actually run. That last figure is the one most often understated, and it is what determines whether the hydraulic and cooling specification will hold up.
